Northbrook Police Blotter: Man ticketed for soliciting without permit

GLENVIEW — The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Northbrook Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. All court appearances are at the courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, unless otherwise noted.

ALCOHOL

Cassandra DeBartolo, 22, of 115 Meadowbrook Lane, was charged Aug. 13 with drunk driving and carrying an open container of alcohol, after an accident in the 2300 block of Maple Street. She was also cited with operating an electronic device while driving and failure to reduce speed. She was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Court date: Sept. 24.

William A. Lewis, 29, of 12718 W. Atlantic, Waukegan, was arrested by Northbrook Police Aug. 9 in the 2000 block of Lakeside Drive in Bannockburn, where they had learned he was living. He was wanted for allegedly skipping bail on a Northbrook drunk-driving charge. He was held on $25,000 bail pending resetting of bond and a new court date.

Nicholas V. Annerino, 19, of 2117 Washington Drive, was charged with drunk driving early Aug. 10 in the 1500 block of Shermer Road, after being curbed for allegedly weaving and crossing the center line. He was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and scheduled to appear in court Aug. 29.

DRUGS

Two men were arrested on drug charges the night of Aug. 13 after police responded to a complaint about an intoxicated person in a vehicle in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Valencia Drive. Mark C. St. Clair, 42, of 2391 Greenview Road, was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Roberto S. Elliot, 39, of 822 Houlston Court, Schaumburg, was ticketed on local charges of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and was arrested on a Kentucky warrant for alleged flagrant non-support of a child.

St. Clair was released after posting $1,500 bond. Elliot was held on the same amount for the Northbrook charges, and $3,000 on the Kentucky charge. Both have Sept. 16 local court dates.

WARRANTS

Tahir Jiwan, 33, of 3550 Sorrel Drive, was arrested early Aug. 10 on a DuPage County bond forfeiture warrant after a Dundee Road/Western Avenue traffic stop. He was released after posting $3,000 bond, and is scheduled for a Sept. 15 court date.

Tommy Lee Smith, 18, of 22 Hammel Ave., St. Louis, was arrested Aug. 8 on a felony probation violation warrant, after police responded to a complaint about door-to-door sales activity on Hillcrest Lane near Pfingsten Road.

DOOR-TO-DOOR

Dominique J. Dismukes, 25, of 2170 S. Emerald Ave., Chicago, was ticketed Aug. 7 in the 2200 block of Scott Road for allegedly soliciting without a permit. Court date: Aug. 29.

TRAFFIC

Mark A. Senser, 47, of 6819 N. Wayne Ave., Chicago, was charged Aug. 12 with driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at Anthony Trail and Dundee Road. He was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond. Court date: Sept. 24.

Jesus Trejo, 43, of 2712 N. Kilpatrick Ave., was charged Aug. 12 with driving with a suspended license and suspended registration after a traffic stop at Dundee Road and Hawthorne Lane. He was released on $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 8.
