The 17th annual Myra Rubenstein Weis Health Resource Center Luncheon/Fundraiser: “Harmonious Healing”, May 1, Highland Park Country Club, 1201 Park Ave West, Highland Park, complimentary valet parking. Silent Auction begins at 10:30 a.m.; lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. This year’s event will honor NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) doctor, Janardan D. Khandekar, MD, Director, Center for Molecular Medicine, for the impact he has made in the field of oncology. Guests will also hear from Brent Bauer, MD, FACP, Director, Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at Mayo Clinic, about the emergence of integrative medicine, which combines conventional medicine with the best of evidence-based complementary therapies. The Evanston Art Center 26th annual Spring Benefit “Party at the Clarke”: Exhibition dates through May 18, Gala Party and Live Auction, 6:30-11 p.m. May 18, 2603 Sheridan Road, Evanston, Art Auction and party will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner. “Nicky’s Week” Fundraiser hosted by RA Sushi: May 26-June 1, for kids battling cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The restaurant and bar will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of a variety of menu items and beverages to St. Jude. Since its inception, Nicky’s Week has raised more than $1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The three Chicagoland locations participating are Chicago: 1139 N. The West Town Pup Crawl: 6-9 p.m., weather permitting, every Tueesdeay evening beginning May 28 through Sept. 3. For the fourth year in a row, Mahoney’s Pub & Grille, home to a large, dog-friendly patio, will partner with three other West Town bars, also with dog-friendly outdoor areas: J. Currently presenting its Landmark 35th Anniversary Season, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be honored with a Spotlight Award, Spotlight Award for Corporate Support will be presented to JPMorgan Chase & Co. 6 p.m.; special performance at the Harris Theater.
