Glencoe’s Holiday Party on the Parkway in support of the Glencoe Jr. High Project took place Dec. 12 in Uptown Glencoe. The open house block party started at Anne Loucks Gallery for registration and a donation of $25. Then guests visited Olly Olly Play Cafe, Homemade Pizza, Olsky Jewelers, Pascal Pour Elle and the businesses at 378 Park Avenue including E.G.G. Eclectic Gorgeous Goods, Mara Max Salon, Elizabeth Passman, Highgate Builders and Rena Sternberg Gallery, where there was a sneak preview performance with the cast of “Little Shop of Horrors.” Final destination was Perl Mortgage where there was a silent auction with more than $5,000 in merchandise and certificates. One hundred percent of the monies raised from registration and the silent auction went to GJHP. Free supervisied baby sitting was available at the Glencoe Public Library. Candice Kuhnen, resident of Glencoe for more than 50 years, event planner and founder of the Party on the Parkway, worked with co-presidents Geena Zaslavsky and Debbie Jha to raise funds for the school’s musical.
