Another marrow drive runs Sunday for Lacey Horwitch

Congregation Beth Shalom hosted a blood drive and bone marrow donation registry sign-up Sunday on behalf of 8-year-old Northbrook resident Lacey Horwitch.

The drive, done in partnership with LifeSource, took place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 3433 Walters Ave., Northbrook location.

Horwitch is fighting both Hemophagocytic Lymphohistocytis and resistance to thyroid hormone and is awaiting a bone marrow match.

The next marrow drive on Horwitch’s behalf is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Temple Anshe Shalom, 20820 S, Western Ave., Olympia Fields, Ill. For more information, contact Dr. Scantor at (847) 707-5594.
