GBS invites alumni to 50th bash
Glenbrook South High School in Glenview is celebrating its golden 50th anniversary at noon Feb. 25 with an anniversary gala, luncheon and the annual Variety Show in the Pasquini Fieldhouse/Auditorium, 4000 W. Lake Ave.
The luncheon includes a balloon drop and opening of a time capsule that was sealed for the school’s silver anniversary.

Free appeal process seminar
Patricia Damisch, Northfield Township Assessor, and Cook County Commissioner Greg Goslin are hostessing a free seminar on Monday in the Community Room at the Glenview Public Library, 1930 Glenview Road. It is called “Understanding the Residential Appeal Process” featuring Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak.
The one hour lecture begins at 7 p.m. followed by questions and answers at 8 p.m. After the talk citizens can speak directly one on one with the commissioner or their staff about their specific issues. They can also make appointments with the assessor for personalized research and assistance at Northfield Township.
Kid Connection
Preschool sign-up
Registration for the 2012-2013 Kid Connection Preschool at Willowbrook School will take place at 8 a.m. Feb. 2. There will be a three and four year old program. Registration for both of these programs takes place at this time. An original birth certificate and a $400 deposit is required for registration. Tuition for the year is $3,400 five days/week.
