Police blotter for Feb. 21

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Northbrook Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
THEFT
Elizabeth F. Kelleher, 48, of 4250 W. Lake St., 203B, Glenview, was charged Feb. 12 in a court appearance ticket with retail theft in connection with an incident on the 800 block of Willow. She is to appear in court March 1.
About 211 gallons of diesel fuel were siphoned out of an underground tank Feb. 14 at the Citgo station on the 500 block of Dundee Road. The fuel was valued at $812.
A resident of the 1300 block of Ridge told police Feb. 17 that jewelry valued at $25,000 is missing from his home.
ALCOHOL
Joseph M. Lutz, 31, of 10118 Old Orchard Court, Skokie, was charged Feb. 18 with transportation of open alcohol while a passenger in a car stopped for traffic offenses on the 1100 block of Meadow. He was released on a signature bond with an April 4 court date.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
A Northbrook woman told police Feb. 15 that her sons ages 13 and 11 were walking home from Maple School about 4 p.m. when two men in a silver or gray sedan asked the boys if they wanted candy. The boys kept walking and the pair in the car then asked them if they could help with finding a lost dog, police said. Police sais school officials were notified of the incident.
TRAFFIC
Daniel Dominguez-Cruz, 24, of 1809 Washington, Waukegan, was charged Feb. 18 with driving with unsafe equipment. unlawful use of registration and driving with a suspended license. In addition, police said he was wanted on a warrant from Michigan for unauthorized use of a vehicle. Police said he was arrested after he was stopped at Lake Cook Road and the Edens Expressway because his pickup truck was overloaded. Bond on the local charges was set at $1,500 and in addition the bond on the warrant was set at $10,000. He is to appear in court March 30 on the Northbrook charges.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A car in the parking lot of Glenbrook North High School, 2300 Shermer, was keyed Feb. 16.
Words and symbols were scratched into the paint of a car at Glenbrook North High School, 2300 Shermer Road, on Feb. 17.
HARASSMENT
Ronald M. Christensen, 47, of 1900 Thornwood, Northbrook, was charged Feb. 1 with harassment by telephone. He was released on bond with a March 6 court date. Police said he was arrested after he called Northbrook Village Hall and left numerous rambling messages. Police said Christensen had been warned previously by police not to have further contact with village hall unless it was for a legitimate business purpose.
