Police Blotter for June 19

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Northbrook Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.

CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE

Devontae T. Jackson, 19, of 1593 Green Bay Road, Highland Park, was charged June 13 with criminal sexual abuse in connection with an incident on the 1200 block of Cedar. He is to appear in court July 6. Police investigated a report of a minor having sexual contact with the defendant. Jackson was processed and released.

DRUGS

Cort J. Ro, 18, of 2188 Crabtree Ave., Northbrook, was charged June 12 with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he was taken to Cook County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bond with a July 6 court date. He was arrested after he was stopped on Adirondack and Plum Island.

DUI

Fredrick D. Waidner, 47, of 1128 Greenbriar, Northbrook, was charged June 15 with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to signal and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Police said he was taken to Cook County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond with a July 12 court date. He was arrested after he was stopped at the intersection of Willow and Patriot Boulevards.

Anthony O’Connor, 42, of 194 NW Hills Dr., Valparaiso, Ind. was charged June 16 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level of more than .08, screeching tires, speeding and improper lane usage. Police said he was taken to Cook County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bond with a July 12 court date. He was arrested after he was stopped at the intersection of Shermer and Willow.

THEFT

Four pairs of Ray Ban frames valued at approximately $800 were reported stolen from Four Eyes in Northbrook on the 35 block of Skokie Boulevard on June 16.

A dealer plate was reported stolen from Northbrook Toyota on the 1500 block of Skokie Boulevard June 9. The plate was reported missing after a test drive.

A mailbox was removed from its post on the 2800 block of Floral, Northbrook, sometime between 1 and 7 a.m. June 12.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Someone knocked a mailbox off its post on the 200 block of Lee Road between 5 p.m. June 10 and 7 a.m. June 11. The estimated value of the mailbox is $40.
