Police: Chicago woman killed, lanes shut after Tri-State Tollway crash

GLENVIEW — All lanes of the southbound Tri-State Tollway were closed early Sunday as police investigated a fatal traffic crash near Glenview.

Danielle M. Pisterzi, 21, of 5757 N. Nina Ave., Chicago, was pronounced at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge at 11:52 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Pisterzi was ejected from the two-vehicle crash, which happened just before 11 p.m. near Willow Road, an Illinois State Police Tollway District sergeant said.

State Police closed all southbound lanes of the tollway about midnight, the sergeant said.

Emergency crews from Glenview and Northbrook also responded to the wreck.
