Be my Valentine on skates

Stop by the Valentine’s Cosmic Skate at Sports Center for a cool cosmic party! Skate and then hang out in the Club Cosmic room. Romantic music

Just in time for Valentine’s day, head on over to the Northbrook Leisure Center to enjoy musical historian and performer, Jim Kendros’s beautiful piano melodies from the 19th century. Let’s make some ice cream!

Hey kids! Want to learn how to make ice cream like the Eskimos do? Come to this fun workshop where you’ll make ice cream using a modern replacement for seal blubber. Couples massage class

Learn how you can give your partner a relaxing, safe and enjoyable massage! Attend this workshop taught by licensed therapists from Therapeutic Kneads. You’ll receive hands-on instruction, a how-to booklet and massage oils too! Wear comfortable clothing and bring pillows and blankets. When: 1-3 p.m. Saturday or 1-3 p.m. Sunday. A great musical for kids!

The well-loved children’s book series, “Bunnicula” by James Howe and his late wife is now a musical at the Northbrook Theatre! Come see this hilarious show about the vampire bunny that sucks the juice out of vegetables. Told from the perspective of a dog and cat, this horror story spoof is anything but scary. Classical guitar

Valentine’s Day cookie decorating!

Hey kids! How about decorating special Valentine’s Day cookies for your family and friends? Stop by Prairie Grass Café, have a little dinner, and then decorate three heart-shaped cookies, one to eat and two to give away. You’ll also get a gift box and a card to decorate!
