Winter Classic skating competition
The Northbrook Sports Center is hosting the Ice Skating Institute’s Winter Classic! Come watch as 1,000 skaters compete from nine states and Mexico! Enjoy artistic, couples, dance, hockey, rhythmic, and synchronized team events. Plus, it’s free! When: 1-10 p.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Film and race relations in America
In honor of Black History month, come listen to guest speaker, Columbia College Professor Vaun Monroe as he discusses how films have had a dramatic impact on race relations in America.
