Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Road Northbrook, will host North Shore Chamber Music Festival June 6, 8 and 9, featuring the Grammy Award-winning Pacifica String Quartet all three nights.

The second season of NSCMF offers widely varied programs. Each of the three concerts has something new and something old, arranged in a carefully considered mix.

The June 6 concert features works of Bartok, Ridout, Beethoven and Mendelssohn. On June 8, the concert features works of Schubert, Shostakovich, Brahms and Schittke. The final evening’s schedule includes works by Stravinsky, Golijov, Piazzolla and Franck.

Each of the concerts starts at 7:30 p.m., all with a 6 p.m. preconcert presentation featuring conversations on music and performances by young artists.
