Board of Education meeting
The Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. June 21 in a board working session in the Wood Oaks Library, 1250 Sanders Road, Northbrook.
Wood Oaks softball team members
The following students are members of the softball team at Wood Oaks: Hanna Silverman, Courtney Moushi, Mikayla Biebrach, Amanda Yoest, Kim Miraflores, Patti Grod, Anisha Thotam, Francesca Necak, Lauren Mercury, Natalia Wolas, Hanna Buzil and Sarah Hayden. The team is coached by Don Tyre.
Final Family Night
Hickory Point’ s last Family Night of the year will be an end-of- the- school-year picnic from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on June 1.
Summer Reading Program
District 27’s Summer Reading Program will begin June 13. The “Dive into Reading” program will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, from June 13 to July 25 in the Hickory Point School library.
Students and parents are invited to attend and talk about books, do crafts, check out books and win prizes.
Graduation cards available
Wood Oaks graduation cards are now available. The cards are $3 each for one card and envelope, $10 for four cards and envelopes, or $20 for 10 cards and envelopes. Proceeds go directly to the eighth grade graduation party. To order, call Dena Epstein at (847) 753-9695.
