District 31 Notes for June 1

Online registration now in progress

District 31’s new online registration process is underway to enroll returning students at Winkelman Elementary School and Field Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year. This new process is available through the Skyward Family Access Link on the District 31 website. The registration deadline is June 29.

As an added convenience for those who do not have computer access, the registration process may be completed using a designated computer in the District Office, 3131 Techny Road, Northbrook, during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The online registration must be completed in full and payment must be made for a child’s registration to be processed and his/her name to be included on a 2012-2013 class list. The June 29 registration due date allows the District to prepare for the appropriate number of students. As in previous years, a $25 late fee will be charged for each student’s registration not completed by this date. Volunteers needed to help plan
Foundation’s 5K

The District 31 Education Foundation is seeking a group of volunteers to help during the summer with the planning of its upcoming 5K Family Fun Run/Walk at Techny Prairie Park and Field in Northbrook on Sept. 30. PTC offers school supply packs for 2012-2013

The District 31 Parent Teacher Club is offering families the convenience of purchasing pre-packaged school supplies for students in the coming school year. Orders will only be taken online by EPI (Educational Products, Inc). The deadline is June 8. See the District 31 website at www.district31.net for ordering details.

Families are responsible for picking up all school supplies in late summer. The Winkelman pickup date 10 a.m. to noon or 5 to 6 p.m. Aug. 17. The Field pickup date is during the Family Pancake Breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 19.

Education meeting

The District 31 Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. on June 14 in the Field School Learning Center. The public is invited to attend.
