Board of Education meeting

The Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. June 21 in a board working session in the Wood Oaks Library, 1250 Sanders Road, Northbrook. The regular meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Wood Oaks Commons.

Students of
the Month

Congratulations to the following Wood Oaks students for being named May Students of the Month: Chloe Carroll, Arisa Dhiensiri, Matthew Fishman, Rachel Gould, Madison Hayes, Christina Jacobs, Evan Just, Matthew Rosen, David Rubin, Keegan Samuelson, Kimberly Siu, and April Villalon.

New iPads coming

Thanks to the Hickory Point School PTA, students will be receiving 22 new iPads for their classrooms.

The PTA provided a $5,000 gift to the school, as well as $8,500 from eScrip funds. About $1,000 will be set aside for maintenance of the school’s garden, while the remainder will be used to purchase the cart of iPads for use in the classrooms.

Summer Reading Program is
underway.

The “Dive into Reading” program will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays thru July 25 in the Hickory Point School library.

Students and parents are invited to attend and talk about books, do crafts, check out books and win prizes.
