Board of Education meeting

The Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. June 21 in a board working session in the Wood Oaks Library, 1250 Sanders Road, Northbrook. The regular meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Wood Oaks Commons.

Graduation and awards

One hundred and fifty five students from Wood Oaks Junior High School graduated from the eighth grade on June 6.

The ceremony was held at Glenbrook North High School and featured performances by the Wood Oaks Graduation Orchestra and the Wood Oaks Eighth Grade Chorus.

Speeches were made by Dr. David J. Kroeze, superintendent of District 27; Board of Education President Debbie Rabishaw; students Amber Olson and Rebecca Pasman; and Principal Dr. Marc Schaffer.

The following students also received recognition for awards they received earlier in the day:

The scholarships are given to students who are graduates of District 27 schools.
